The Old Piggery is a beautiful three bedroom family and pet friendly holiday cottage in North Devon. The newly renovated barn conversion comfortably sleeps up to six and benefits from off road car parking, as well as a fully enclosed garden. The cottage, which is also fully accessible has been tastefully decorated throughout and equipped to a high standard.
To the left of the main entrance is the well-equipped kitchen. This modern, contemporary kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including an electric oven with hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher.
With views of the local countryside, the living room is the perfect place to relax. Features within the bright lounge area are two sofas and an armchair that can be used alongside a riser if needed. The TV is wall-mounted allowing for additional floor space and there is also the added bonus of a woodburner, which is great for those chilly winter evenings.
A handy ground floor cloakroom is located opposite the main entrance to the cottage. The cloakroom has a wash basin, a WC and a selection of coat hooks.
Alongside the lounge and kitchen in the open plan living area is the dining area, which has a good sized wooden table that can comfortably seat up to eight - the table can also be extended if needed to accommodate a wheelchair.
From the living area, patio doors open directly out onto the patio. If required, a ramp can be requested to access the garden more easily.
The downstairs double bedroom has a king-size bed, a comfy armchair, a wardrobe and a set of drawers. If needed the downstairs double bedroom can be fully accessible for a guest in a wheelchair as there is lots of room to move around.
The downstairs bedroom benefits from its own fully accessible en-suite bathroom. The bathroom, which is tiled throughout, has a wheelchair accessible walk-in shower complete with seat and handrail, a wash basin and a WC, which has grab rails surrounding it.
The Master Bedroom is located on the first floor of the cottage and enjoys views of the countryside. Central to the room is the king-size bed. Also, in the Master Bedroom is a wardrobe, a set of drawers and a sofa which can be converted to a double-sized sofa-bed upon request.
Accessed via the living room is the enclosed garden with views of the North Devon countryside. The garden features a level paved patio area, as well as a lawn section that has artificial grass and drainage to stop it getting muddy. The garden also has a table and chairs with a parasol.
Not pictured above, the garden area now has a large wooden pergola for shade.
